I Don't HAVE To Write Today....

I think most people who know me, know that I try to earn a specific amount (or more) every week from my freelance writing. I refer to this as my quota (or goal). I actually hit my weekly quota last night (it would have been on Tuesday, but I saved some of the work from that batch for yesterday). What does this mean for me? I don't have to write today or tomorrow if I don't want to.
Well that's great. The best part is I CAN still write, and I'm going to. Why? Because I WANT to. I like the clients, I like the orders and I can always use the money. Why stop at a certain amount when I can always earn more? It's not like I'm going to hit burnout; I'm still doing the usual amount of work.
I don't have a real point of writing this, it was just on my mind. I have a few orders picked out and I want to do them before other authors grab them up lol. I should probably get off MyLot and Twitter for a while and get started on my work haha. ;)
You all have a great Thursday and take care!

I agree. When you have the time and energy to write, just write.
The money comes in useful, and it makes up for those days when you are down with flu, and not up to writing.
I think that is the best part of writing for an income.
You can do as much or as little as you like.

Right! I always set goals for myself, and TRY not to beat myself up if I don't get them, but you never know when things will change so it's good to do more if you can. I took off today to go out, and I rarely write on weekends, so I'll be good to go come Monday.

It's good that you got your work done ahead of time, doing more than we planned is always a good thing too. =) Writing for fun is something I have always preferred to do, if someone else tells me what I have to write the fun is gone and I begin to hate writing.

Thanks a bunches! I think it helps when there is a lot of work to choose from, because then you can choose the ones you want to do. I like most of the topics I wind up writing about, and I try to steer away from anything I don't like (otherwise, the content is gonna sound forced).

I'm so happy you got to get your work caught up nice feeling as you can run out of gas, but you're getting where you need to be that's the main thing.

It's great to not have the pressure to write. Doing something just because you enjoy it is much more fun. I don't know anything at all about writing online for money, but I know that there are a lot of people who enjoy doing it. That is great!

Thanks! I do enjoy it; it allows me to work from home and set my own schedule, and I only hope to grow and gain more clients in the future. I write for several clients, not all at once, but still. I'll miss the client I had for 3yrs, as they went out of business, but it did open the door for other opportunities in freelance writing.

I've tried sites wherein I have to write for clients. Not my cup of tea, I feel too much pressure.

I did that on one of the sites I registered with, it was very rewarding. It's even better when the client rates you well for the service. All the best for you!

It's great to be able to make a living from writing. I wish I was able to do that. For now that is not the case. I am able to earn some side income from online writing and from my published books but it is not enough to live off it. Wish I did make enough where that was the way I earned a living.
