i think using water is more hygenic than using the paper as when u takle a dump and use paper there is still somethin left behind after wipping whereas water cleans everything

Being American,I prefer paper.I've seen in some bathrooms the little water jet thingy but haven't been brave enough to try it.There's just something inately unappealing about it.I'm probably just being silly but I really do find the thought rather yuck.

water for me.. hehe.. well many people in asia usually prefer to use water... hehe.. i usually use both of them.. clean it with water and wipe it using toilet paper...

I know in some cultures they use a bidet, but unless you are a somewhat wealthy American with a large bathroom and room for two fixtures, I would venture to say that most of us just use toilet paper and take a shower once or twice a day. Some people I know could really benefit from having a bidet. What I mean is, less "racing stripes" in the undershorts!

Toilet paper. I've never heard of using water...interesting. I've heard of using flushable wipes which are good to use too.
