I decided to make a review of the movie "The final girls" It is hard to explain what is the genre of this movie because it is marketed as "slasher comedy" but I see it more as a "Drama comedy" If you are fans of Ultra Violent slasher horror movies like Saw or Friday the 13th, You will be disappointed because this is not an r-18 movie, it is a PG 13 movie about an R-18 movie.
It is one of the best movies I watched by far because it is about story telling and it fills a fantasy most of us have, To be able meet fictional characters in flesh.
The movie centers to a teenage girl named Max, her mother is Amanda, a frustrated actress who hates her movies because her roles is all the same. "The woman who always die in horror movies"
Amanda may hate her career as an actress but she loves her daughter Max, she and her daughter are very close. Sadly Amanda will die in a car accident.
Max dont want to watch the movies of her mom because not only she dies in real life, she also died in all of her movies.
On the 20th anniversary of her Mom's first movie which is a very cheesy 1980's horror movie , she finally decided to watch it with her friends.
Suddenly an accident happens in the theater as it got covered in fire and as Max and friends tried to escape the burning theater, they were transported inside her Mom's horror movie and met Nancy. Nancy is the character played by her mom.
Max have failed to save her Mom but now she have a chance to save Nancy.
The comedy bits of this movie is really funny but It also have scenes that can make you cry. I praise this movie for character development and it's very witty script that makes fun of horror movie cliches. This movie will make you appreciate the 1980's even though it is a 2015 movie. I am not going to spoil more details about this movie but is worth watching. If You enjoyed movies like
The last action hero" or "Pleasantville" you may like this movie.
Do not confuse it with the movie titled "The Final girl" that is a different movie. This movie is titled The final girls]"

Its a comedy drama movie about a horror movie. It will make you laugh or cry more than scared. The interaction between "real life" characters and "horror movie" characters is really interesting.
If you can meet a fictional character in person, who will it be?

The acting on the "horror movie" is intentionally bad because that is how 1980's horror movies where but you can see Nancy's acting changed when she realized she is a horror movie character who is meant to die.
Also the acting of the "real world" people is good. Especially the girl who played Max.
