Recently i read a news , two student catch 16 birds and sell them for 1000RMB(equals to $166 ). the court sentence them stay in the prison for 10 years because the birds are Animals under state protection(category ii). In contrast a provinvial departmental level cadres corrupt 10,000,000RMB(equals to $1660,000) have the same treatment. does it fair? share your idea now.

Of course it is crazy to punish a student so much. I haven't heard about this news although we come from the same city. Where did you learn it? He is just a student and I don't think it is right to put him into a prison for ten years. Even a robber will not be punished like that.

I don't think that is fair at all. People are killing others and they are still roaming around and these two did not even kill the birds but sell them

I do not know enough to share my comment. I think the students should have a chance to get shorter sentence if they have good behavior in the jail.

I understand that the Laws are written to be respected, but this sounds to be a too hard punishment.

It's probably something they overlooked or that they needed to make their quota so it's too bad really is for them to overdo it like that I mean nowadays some would think that it was pretty harsh depending on the circumstances behind it there shoulda been a different way.
