Are people aware of the consequences of their behavior?

Nailed to a wooden beam and in excruciating pain, he turned to God in prayer and made the following request, "Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” Often, people do things without realizing or being aware of what they are doing. At this time of the year some people will drive their vehicle while being alcohol impaired, not realizing the harm that they might inflict. Many parents teach their children the importance of telling the truth and then they point to gifts that they say comes from a character that comes down the chimney to deliver them. People of good conscience can only turn to God and utter the same request that Jesus made. Galatians 6:7-8 states with a serious warning: "7 Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. 8 Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." In one Next Generation episode Captain Picard says to an admiral who commands him to break a higher law of nature : "There are times when men of good conscience cannot blindly follow orders." How many wars may not have happened if more people had the courage to follow the higher laws. Do you think people are aware of the consequences of their behavior? Do you think most people are circumspect?

You could comment if you want? Do you have something that you could add or that you disagree with?
