This was a good feeling yesterday I stopped at Walmart yesterday I needed a few things looked at a bell ringer post that wasn't occupied so I went inside. I was in the pop aisle and I saw this guy out of the corner of my eye noticed it was a guy that goes to my church him being disabled carried a lot of weight with me. He went and got the bucket took it outside by this time I was finished I said hi tony he said merry Christmas this couple walked up and handed tony a check and said the lord loves you and merry Christmas tony looked at the check it was 2500 dollars he quickly deposited into the bucket and said i think we did well today. Have you ever had this happen?whats your ideas on the situation?Would you reach out like this?Me yeah I would see our disabled make a difference.

That is amazingly generous, @softbabe44 My Mum is Salvo in uniform and collects for their Red Shield Appeal every year. She said that she gets some VERY generous donations every year and has found that people will give to the Salvos, even when they have lost faith in donating to other causes. Even aged pensioners will come up with a $50 note and Mum will ask if they are sure, before taking it. Invariably these generous people either say "The Salvos have helped me" or "There are people worse off out there than me". There are some very generous hearts. Gives you a little bit of hope for the world.

That's incredible. I've heard stories like that at least one a year, but to read about someone who actually saw it happen, awesome. As for me reaching out like that, not in that way, but once last year I just took all the change in my wallet and put it into the bucket. I have no idea how much I put in, but God knows.

Especially during the holidays you hear more about the wonderful acts of kindness that people do. But for you to see it was a rare and blessing.
