Weekends are crazy. There is so much much to be done. With Christmas nearing there is also so much preparations and charity to be involved in.
This weekend we were busy caroling; my husbands office had invited us for a night of carols,. We used to sing every year before things changed three years ago. They had started to invited some institutions rather than church groups to sing for them.
This year the crowd voted us back into business. We have a group of SHAM, Doctors, Lawyers, HR professional and technical people sing in our group.
We also have our children singing with us.
Though we did not initially think we will not take it up this year, we did and we were much appreciated for our efforts.
It always fun to sing to a whole bunch of non Christians and ask them to join in.
Do you go caroling or do you have people coming caroling to your place?

I don't go caroling, but I enjoy listening to caroling. It's so joyful and peaceful. I still remember when I was young, I followed my dad to his Christian friend's house, and they invited caroling from church. There were adults and children, and it was so joyful listening to them singing.
We don't have people coming caroling to where we stay, but I always bring my children to a shopping mall (which is quite far away) every Christmas, because I know there's caroling.
There are always many events in the shopping mall on Christmas, but I prefer listening to carols.

@Mike197602 HmmIn the city where I live we have groups of carolers going around. Sometimes we meet for coffee and snacks on the road.

@sofssu One year on Christmas Eve, my brother-in-law hired a flatbed wagon with straw bales on it and it was pulled by 2 horses. The driver took us out for about an hour and there were over 20 of us on the wagon, we sang and sang and sang. That was at least 20 years ago, but it was so much fun and I'll never forget it.

I know that wonderful feeling! I've been busy with caroling too. I love to sing about Jesus all the time and being part of the choir is a great privilege.

When I was still living at home we went as a church group singing to the "shut-ins" those elderly and disabled members who really appreciated our efforts, it was a family thing, kids and parents. Loved it it. I haven't seen carolers in years.

@PainsOnSlate We do that all the time.. go to those who are disabled and aged and sing for them.. they seem to be so happy with so little. They seem particularly happy when our little children sing for them.

I love caroling. Makes me miss being young again. It's been many many years since I went caroling :)
