Filipinos has their own cold dessert, sold on the streets, with that "kling-kling" of that small hand bell. Locally known as "sorbetes" or homemadr ice cream or dirty ice cream.
It is really dirty?
Not really.
Maybe it is the way it has been sold, with "sorbetero"--man selling ice cream, pushing a cart, where inside are metal canisters(sorrounded by ice and salt to keep it frozen) filled with flavored ice cream.
Most common flavor of dirty ice cream are, mango, milk, ube or purple yam, cheese and of course chocolate.
You can have the ice cream in a cone or a bun--burger buns.
Would you like to have some if ever?

We have this in Malaysia as well, but I never heard it's called dirty ice-cream.
We have been eating this ice cream since we were young, and there are still many "ice-cream men" riding motorbike selling the ice-cream. We can always recognize them coming by their ring.
I always like to have the ice-cream in bun, though I like the cone too. Sometimes we just buy a box of ice cream and make it ourselves at home.

I'd try it - sounds good. Not tried ice cream in a burger bun before though

@Lucky15 I'm sure it would taste OK but I prefer to lick ice cream - my teeth are very sensitive to biting anything frozen-cold and ice cream on bread sounds like it would need biting

We have vendors like that in New York City that sell every kind of food. The most common is the hot dog vendor and the hot dogs are called "dirty water dogs"

Hum now not sure about it on a bun but in a cone does sound refreshing. Some of the flavors don't appeal to me much at all. I might try the chocolate but not sure about the yam or cheese. Never heard of anyone making cheese ice cream before.
