I would not have believed it if I had not seen it with my own eyes! I looked outside to check on the dogs in the back yard. Rosco digs holes, and when I say holes I mean deep holes and wide, anyways I looked out and there was Rosco and Harley working on a project together, head to head and they were digging a hole, right in the walk way of the backyard.
I just now looked out there again and Rosco is laying it this hole.
Why do dogs dig holes? I could understand if it was hot weather but its not its cool and sometimes cold.

Maybe it smells good to find the fresh earth, or maybe he just needs something to do.

I've never had a dog do that, thank goodness.

I think dogs are created that way - - digging holes to hide the bones of dinosaurs for food the next day!

Maybe they just like the smell of the earth and want to have a cool place that they can share together.

My dog likes to dig. I try not to let her. I have had to fill a couple of holes that she dug trying to get a rabbit.
