We have 6 grandsons. They are 27,22,17,16,13 and 4. Yesterday my husband got himself into a bit of plumbing trouble and needed some help. I texted grandson #3 who was with grandson #2. They stopped by to help out grandpa. When they were done #3 said he was hungry. I had leftover homemade turkey pot pie that I was ready to throw out or freeze since we have eaten it for several days. No worry about leftovers now, #3 had 2 servings and #2 had one good size one. After hubs ate his dinner, it was all gone. And well appreciated. I still need to make this pair their apple pies which I will do this week but I love having help that will work for food!!

@Asylum Well you know what they say, the way to a man's heart is through his stomach and I have taken that very much to heart. I have them lusting after my prime rib which I will provide on Christmas. lol

OH what a naughty grandma you have not yet made their apple pie! Still I bet the turkey pot pie was just as well appreciated. There is nothing quite like grandmas cooking. I still try to make something my grandmother used to make and have up to now failed dismally!

How wonderful to know that your grandsons have been so helpful @bellestarr Your clever idea of harnessing them not only helped your hubby, but more importantly, any useful activity helps to keep today's youngsters away from mischief.
