I got home from work to find my partner stirring up a bowl of mushroom soup for our little boy. He said to me
" This isn't b***y soup look at it it's like gloup"
I looked at the bowl and thought 'yuck that looks gross' then I looked at the tin and realised it was condensed soup.
I told him it was condensed soup and that you need to add milk to it and I think he felt a bit silly.
It's a good thing he didn't feed it too Vinnie it is disgusting if you don't thin it out, obviously I didn't tell him that I had made the same mistake years before and tried eating it as it was -- Yucky
Have you ever made any really silly kitchen mistakes ?

@shellyjaneo true about how salty. I guess when I was a kid I didn't mind salty.

I am surprised he didn't read the instructions. We usually buy condensed soup so that would not happen here.

When products such as sugar and flour were sold in paper bags, when I was about 5, Mum kept these in the bottom of a cupboard. I used to nick spoonsful of icing sugar from time to time. One day I got a mouthful of washing soda instead. Not nice.

Oh gosh I bet that put you off doing it again, that also shows the dangers of unmarked packaging though, most of my kitchen cupboards have locks on to keep my little boy from doing something similar x

I have had some disasters over the years, the funny thing is he is a much better cook than me so I have to enjoy when it is him making mistakes instead of me x

It is way too thick in the tin and strong tasting but add a little milk and it is lovely x

@shellyjaneo I know you can cook with this one. I have seen people use this condensed soup over the top of chicken and bake it in the oven. It is good this way. But to eat it like this does not look good to me at all.

@poehere That is why I had bought it, I can't remember for what but it was in a recipe. It wasn't meant to be for Vinnie although I do buy him soup x
