Breaking the cycle

I hate statistics, I should be a chain smoking alcoholic on my third marriage but alas, I took it upon myself to break the streak. I've never been one to follow in line but did blend into the crowd becoming nearly invisible. I've always had a positive attitude, even when it came to the bullies who loved picking on me; I found that quite a few people who are pessimistic tend to blame their past and upbringing. My question is why, isn't there a point in your life that you'd want to distance yourself from that negativity, to show them and the world I'm better than that\you? My other question is what's the point of trying to bring other people who are trying to help you down with you? I also don't like liars or people with big egos but that's a discussion for another time.

Statistics can be misleading. I often wonder what you have asked. At what point do you say, "well that was my past; it sucked but where do I go from here?" Good for you if you have been able to do that. Many don't

I think the point is to make them feel better. I have found a few negative people around in life and it seems that they want to suck you down in the hole with them. You are right to break away and stand up and be who you want.

statistics are....well misleading. depending on the group the stats are taken from those conducting the test can come up with whatever answers they want if they dont get a fair sample.
