The crafting fever has caught on..

I haven't crafted in a while and the feeling of doing nothing seemed to overwhelm me for weeks. I just decided to do something I haven't done in a long, long time.
I made some clay and tried my had at making figurines.. I haven't done it ever before.
I quite enjoyed the process.. but that mean my online time was reduced to less than an hour a day and a house full of mess. My clean up times increased.. yet at the end of the day I was really happy.
The creative itch in me seems to get the better of me from time to time. Here are just a few things I made the last week. I did a whole lot of Christmas ornaments too apart from these.
Do you feel the need to do something different and creative from time to time?

those are super cute! and my creativeness mostly comes out in writing. but occ I do ink art drawings.

Thank you @Jessicalynnt I love to write too..but then I do a whole lot of other stuff .. Ink art drawing is not something I do.. maybe its time to try.

Yes I do and it sure feels good when I do this one. I love clay, painting, and sculpting in wood. I also love planting and creating a new look in my garden. I consider this a form of art too and it is beautiful when you garden is all nice and clean looking. I did this one for a few days and guess what it felt good.

they're really nice..., I think they are great... I do get a creative itch... but I make jewelry... earrings and bracelets and necklaces .... I really enjoy it...

@PainsOnSlate I love to paint too.. I have been doing a lot of it in the first part of this year.. now its time to channel my energy on to something different. Being creative seem to fill you with a great sense of satisfaction doesn't it?

My daughter is the crafter in the family. She crochets, knits, does bead work, puzzles, coloring, etc. I don't. I write and do online games and such.

very beautiful. It looks like you bought them from a gift shop. Nice way to vent out your creativity. I have accepted a challenge of poem writing from a fellow member and wrote that poem and posted on her discussion page. And I enjoyed writing that small piece. Scratching your creative itch necessary to remain positive and confident.

Those are very cute, are you going to sell them or just keep them for yourself? My family has the crafting creative gene wherein I am more of the story teller. I've been itching to write but need to brush up on my skills as well.

I love story telling too.. brushing up only comes with writing them down and working on them.. so when are you getting started?

@sofssu I meant to get started yesterday but by the time I got fully woke up it was time for me to be ready for work. I've been "creative writing" in my head all day though so there is atleast that. I've been thinking of creatively writing about a dream I had a few days ago here though.

@Marilynda1225 Not really, I have never tried figurines before.. but I guess its getting easier with each piece. I made some more with finer features and the more I work on it the better I seem to get.

I'm knitting some hats for my three little cousins, since it's Christmas. I was hit with the crafting bug pretty hard this year, I even opened up a shop on Etsy to sell my crafts.
For as long as I can remember I've loved crafts, it probably started while I was in Girl Scouts over 15 years ago.
