Sweeba - Bubblews ?

United Kingdom
December 8, 2015 1:00pm CST
So there have been a lot of posts lately about whether Sweeba is owned by the people who owned Bubblews and whether anyone would try it and should it be trusted and so on and so forth. Well it seems as if no one wanted to try it and that is understandable, but I love trying new sites so I thought I would be a guinea pig for you all and give it a go. I am well aware that I am probably wasting my time and will never get paid or have any meaningful conversations but at least we will all know then. Wish me luck P.S First step and my verification email went in my spam - is hotmail trying to tell me something ?

I, for one, have no intentions of trying a new site owned by the owners of Bubblews. I will say I was one of the lucky ones. I only lost one payment and I only had $1.23 in my bank when B shut down. I had made several friends there, too. However, there was so much distrust in the owners that I'm not keen on going through that again. With that said, I do wish you luck but I'm afraid you will come away disappointed.

I only lost $7 on bubblews so I wasn't to bad, I have already pretty much given up on Sweeble I can't even post an article what a load of rubbish. It looks like it will be the same as Bubblews plagued by glitches x

@shellyjaneo Sounds like a loser from the start. Glad I have no interest in that site.

Let us know what happens there? Funny that they Bubbles had so many active members, even with the abysmal pay rate, yet they still managed to shut down without paying most of their members. Those guys are something else. Can you tell if this site is run by the same people?

@ivyparkgirl My sense is that it is not.

I would say it is, it looks very similar in it's layout. There are hardly any terms and conditions which is similar to bubblews when it started, and what is there sounds like bubblews. You can post 10 a day the same as bubblews. And the site doesn't work just like bubblews at times so I'm thinking yes. I haven't managed to post on there yet as it is glitchy not a good start x

I looked it up yesterday and read the TOS and what ever was there without joining. Thinking of joining just to see what its doing. I will never trust them again but I can do some investigations.

"Sweeba may discontinue earnings at any time if our revenue model is not sustainable in the earnings of revenue that would support our hosting fees." At least they are being upfront about this, but then if they can't promise anything more concrete, I would probably leave them alone too, until they have at least been around for a bit longer.

I didn't spot that bit lol. I still can't even post on there most of the time, they can keep my 5c that I have made lol x

@shellyjaneo I lost around three dollars on Triond, and there was an Australian site called RED Bubble, whose bubble burst too. I had around $5 on Bukisa, I never got too.

My time is valuable, and by spreading things all over the place, it really degrades what is truly important. For me, that is my family. One site is enough for me, though some may say I am putting all my eggs in one basket, I am also not entirely counting on a considerable income here either. I am enjoying the people while I am here, but I still am a integral part of my family's life .

It's still not confirmed who the real owner of Sweeba is so perhaps you should just go into it like any other new website. I've joined Sweeba just to take a look at the website because apparently, you cannot browse the website unless you're logged in. I don't really like the interface so I don't think I will contribute anything there. Good luck with your experiment. I wish you all the best. And do keep us posted on the outcome.

I am suspicious of websites that make you sign up before you can look at it. What are they hiding?

@UmiNoor So far I have had no luck I can't get any of my posts to work, did you try and post anything ? Did you have any luck ? I am not fussed on the interface either I will give it a few more days and see if I can get it working before I give up x

@akalinus I know what you mean I normally wouldn't bother with sites like that but under the current circumstances my curiosity got the better of me x

Bubblews had a lot of spammy posts but it also had a lot of serious members, so far sweeba is missing the latter x

So far it has been absolutely rubbish, I managed to post a test post then deleted it. I tried posting another one and it wouldn't work again so I have no faith in it yet. I will keep you posted though x

Good luck! You never know, it could have it's flash-in-the-pan heyday like Bubblews did in the beginning! I wish I'd rode that wave a little harder back then. I say go for it! I may even test the waters myself, just to see what happens, knowing the risk.

@shellyjaneo I understand. I joined just to see what it's like and was very confused out of the gate. I went to the person's profile that they recommend in the help and it helped me to see that it's less like MyLot/B site and more like IG and Pinterest, I think. Post a pic, put up a comment and some hashtags and move on, from what I can tell. BORING

@SimplySara Yeah that's what it seems like most of the posts are shorted than the average comment on here. It doesn't really encourage conversation I don't really get the point. The 400 character limit on Bubblews did work x

That is one of the main reasons I want to give it a try I made over $800 in a couple of months on bubblews at its peak and that wasn't with a huge amount of effort I too wish I had worked a bit harder at it at the time, imagine if I had done 10 posts a day. So far I can't even get this site to work though so not a good start x

I'm sure there will be many here who will be watching with interest. Isn't Sweeba a bit like the name they were going to use for the App or whatever?

I didn't know they had an app I guess that's how long ago I jumped ship. So far it is rubbish I haven't managed to post anything so I can't see many people bothering. If you are going to have a second chance at least do it properly x
