What do you do to make the winter more bearable and pass faster?

Not everyone is a fan of winter, (darkness, cold, too much snow, ice, blackouts, snowstorms, wind, chills, colds, slush, heavy clothes, etc) Do you have any fun things that you do in the winter that make it more pleasant and speeds up the time so that we get to spring fast? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are a few things that I am doing. Is it over yet? * More time on MyLot * Movies * YouTube * More time for friends and family

I enjoy winter despite complaining about it, lol. I love cooking in winter; soups, chilis, roasts, hams, hot chocolate!

I find that as I get older (66), I enjoy it less and less. I used to love driving in winter storms. It was so much fun.

Before I got old and had a knee replacement I skied, I loved winter when I could put skis on my feet and fly. Now we head south or someplace warm and sandy...other than that its TV and computer and books...boring.

I used to enjoy cross-country skiing and snow-shoveling, that is, when I was also younger. Now, I'm trying different indoor activities, like yesterday I went swimming. Don't worry, winter will be over before we know it.

Good news, I found a daylight lamp bulb in a nearby store here.. it cost less than $30 - the light is very bright.. Except for myLot, I watch TV, both the ordinary, if they have good programs, or the broadcasting from jw.org - very interesting. I also like knitting and crocheting, it is good therapy.. And let's see if I can paint this winter.. Encouraging others is a therapy too..like the Bible advises us and spending time with friends.

I m on the computer a lot and m ylot a lot . Here in southern California it is sunny and dry no snow and no rain either Will be in the 70ts today for the high not to bad the winters here

When I was younger, I used to skate, slide, ski and snow shoes. Now, it is a different story, I do indoor things.

When I was young I loved winter and being able to sleigh ride, skate and generally have fun in the snow. Now I stay indoors as much as possible as I'm afraid of falling if it's icy. Indoor fun is reading, crocheting and watching tv (of course computer time too)
