An Update on My Personal Life and Situation

Since I have been away from MyLot for a little while, I thought I would post an update on my personal life.
The last you all had heard, me and my boyfriend were living in a dumpy motel waiting on an apartment to become available in a complex we were trying to get into.
Things have certainly changed, and for the better!
My boyfriend and I are now all settled into our new apartment in the complex we wanted to be in! We stayed at that dumpy, drug, and drama infested motel for a total of 3 months (but seemed like years!) We are so grateful and excited to be out of there and in our very own apartment.
Money is a bit tight at the moment, as we have deposits and such for turning on the electric and other utilities as well as the security deposit we are making payments on. Every bit of our money goes to bills, we are lucky if we have $10 left over for toilet paper and such. However, in February and March, a couple of things that we are paying on will be paid off and we will have much more to work with after paying bills.
We are confident that everything turn out just fine.

Oh yes, I remember you by your photo! Thanks, we are trying to do the best we can with what we have. We're having to do without some things, but it's not that bad. It could always be worse.

I am so happy to hear that! God is so good, we are out of the motel we were in as well (it was nasty too). Now we are staying with friends until we save up some money to get our own place which should be within a month or so. =)

That is good to hear.
I am sure that having a place to call it home is really a life-changing moment.
I hope that you have more to put aside so that you have an emergency saving of 6 months, and later on, to save for a house that you can buy in your name.

its good to know things got better for you. Living in a dumpy motel as you described must be really uncomfortable. When we witness some desperate situations like those who live in that motel we are able to appreciate and become more grateful to the comforts we have today.
