Do I change Jobs

So I have worked in the Telecommunications call center world for over 15 years. I have a good reasonably well paid job right now. I am however bored. I am not going to be able to go anywhere with it. Also, I am 45 with minimal skills. I am needing to increase my income and until my online business takes off I have thought about a different job. What are your thoughts, Look for another job and start over or stay with my current employer where at least I know how to do my job and well.

Since you can look for a new line of work without quitting your current job, I'd say go for it! Just the process of getting together your resume and thinking through your skills and interests is a valuable exercise.

If I were unhappy in my job I would be looking around for what else was out there. Meanwhile I would keep my job!

I think you should stay on with your current job, until you have acquired other skill. If you look into your hobby or talents, you can think about getting a professional qualification, and once you get it, you can quit your job. That means if you are good at cooking or baking, you can take up a course that leads to a professional qualification that the big hotel or restaurants value, and you can then apply to get a job there.
