I'm not a Christian, but I studied in a convent school with only Christian teachers and therefore has a lot of interest in knowing what this festival is all about.
During my school days I used to go to the church on christmas eve or on 25th, had a lot of craze of it. I even used to make christmas tree at home and decorate it, but was very bad at it. My parents thought the day I leave school, I'll stop being crazy about "Christmas".
Its been 5 years since I left school, still I have that craze of Christmas month, Christmas eve, Christmas day.
As Christmas is heading you can imagine how crazy would I be right now.

I love Christmas and for me it is both a religious and a family celebration. I love the magic of Santa and the love of Jesus. They are compatible

@BelleStarr Same here...but as people started to respond...new things came out and it shows that now Christmas, for people, is nothing but the latest trend of gifts and buying new things. No feelings are attached with the festival.
But for me its still a wonderful festival to enjoy. You too have fun with ur family

It is not necessary to be Christian in order to enjoy Christmas. Christmas has two distinct meanings to people, depending on their religious beliefs. To many it is a religious festival and a time of spiritual reflection, while to many it is a simply an overall celebration of pleasure to be enjoyed.

The meaning of Christmas has changed for me over the years. When I was young it was spent with family and it was quiet time. t usually snowed then too. Now it seems to have become yet another excuse for businesses to push their goods and everyone is going crazy to buy whatever is the latest trend. I find that very sad.
I do a tree and have Christmas day with my son and his family and then I just wish the days away to the 6th of January when i can remove the tree and get back to normailty again.
Maybe I feel different about it now that the magic has gone and I see it all from a different perspective that age brings with it.

@mysdianait It's sad to know this part of Christmas. For me its still a festival to celebrate with my friends and family and a day to go to church also haha. For me its different as I'm not a Christian and going church is not a regular thing
