Why do we celebrate Christmas in the first place?

Today's Christmas was the worst We celebrate it with a different feeling. Different emotion, Different ideals, We celebrate it with wars. Is the spirit of Christmas have been long gone?

Christmas is a Christian feast, it celebrates the birth of a child that would later on become a savior ( that is for those who believe), guess the rest is a mix of emotions that we have experienced or will be experiencing on the day or during the holiday mixed with modern day commercialism.
