How to become a good citizen, a servant leader, and to become more aware of ourselves

We have a class called the National Service Training Program (NSTP). In our NSTP class, we talked about how to become a great Filipino man. I have learned that being a good citizen requires a lot. A good citizen is one who properly fulfills his or her role as a citizen. Of course, you need to follow the law of the government and especially the law of the Lord. We all want to be known as a good citizen, and with a little thought and effort, anyone can be one. This day was when we told the story of our lives. They made us grouped ourselves into groups so that we can share our problems, understand each other, help someone in need and to simply know our classmates more. This was made to help us understand ourselves and other people and be more aware of ourselves. The activities we made are so fun and I learned a lot from our professor and from my fellow classmates. Hearing the stories of other people made me realize that I am so blessed with the life I have right now and our problems are just tests and trials that God gave each and everyone of us. Not only me, not just you, but all of us went through tough and difficult times and we are still going to encounter those problems. Self-awareness is the capacity for introspection and the ability to recognize oneself as an individual separate from the environment and other individuals. We learned too about Servant Leadership and how to become one. Servant leadership is both a leadership philosophy and set of leadership practices. Traditional leadership generally involves the accumulation and exercise of power by one at the “top of the pyramid.” A leader is the one who directs and instructs that person but a servant-leader is different. The servant-leader shares power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform as highly as possible. So in servant leadership, we should focus on the needs of other people.
