I have just read the email that wikinut has sent out to all it's registered users and they have decided to stop paying members. This is the third site I am a member of that has taken this move recently, bubblews and beer money nation both closed down and wikinut are no longer paying. It seems that the honest members of online writing communities have been burned badly by those who are determined to wreck everything for everyone else, so so sad.

I started online writing in 2009, so I have seen more writing sites closing down. In 2008 or 2009, there was a writing site known as Today. The domain name, Today, was acquired by the TV network, Today. Later on, I witnessed the demise of Helium, and Associated Content (after sold to Yahoo!). After that, Hubpages acquired Squidoo which is their strong competitor. Bubblews shut down, and now Wikinut stops payment.
