is this relationship normal?

i have a weird relationship with my parents.maybe my parents dont think so.
my father is a very strict tough guy,he and my mother fight a lot when we were a kid.my mother want to divorce before but still stick with my father because of us.
So we always do as what they say to make them happy.and i also really afraid of my dad,i will cry if he scold me a little.and i can not tell them what i am really want if i know they will dilike what i want.
i know they love us but sometime they just too poweful

I was afraid of my father when I was a child, but it was a reverent fear, more like respect than anything else. I just didn't want to disappoint him in any way, so I was always fearful of how he would react if I ever failed at anything.

I know that feeling. I could never stand up to my dad because I was so fearful of him. However, he has told us that if we had such a strong feeling opposite of what he thought, he would have more respect for us for standing up for ourselves rather than doing things to appease him. I still have a hard time standing up to him, even though I have a family of my own now - but I will say as he has gotten older, he has gotten quieter about his opinions.
