What makes a good neighbor?

I live in a 12 story building with about 20 dwellings on each floor. We have people of many nationalities here. I'm friendly with all of them as I'm a person that is always trying to help someone.
I have no problems with anyone in the building. I can say that I have some good neighbors.
I think that a good neighbor is somebody that is friendly but not overbearing and gives you a hand when you need one. I try to do that myself.
How would you describe a good neighbor and are you blessed with such people where you live?.

Wow, that was very neighborly of you. I have someone 3 feet across from my door. I have been here 2 years and it's pretty good. I have lived here before for 10 years. I meet people constantly in the elevator, at the gym or at tghe pool. I'm really a people person but I also like my privacy.

@totobasso I live on three acres. Our closest neighbor is around a half acre away and too close for me.

@sallypup If that's how you feel, I see why you would not want to live in my building. I've got neighbors over, under, on the right, on the left and across.

You're a good neighbor. I try to be a good neighbor. I know my neighbor on my right, and talk to them often. He's been super nice in snow blowing my front walk, and his son started mowing my lawn this summer when my son couldn't do it because of his work schedule.

@totobasso True. Though I could not live in a multistory apartment building with neighbors on all sides or any higher than ground level. I've been in a house for maybe 20 years or more.

Great! We need those kind of neighbors. I would be happy to have you as a neighbor. We would disagree on some of our views of the Bible but we would respect that we each are responsible before God.

A great definition of a good neighbor. I have only one at the moment - the other apartment is empty, but a couple will move there next month. My neighbor is an elderly, friendly man and we met today and I went to the mailbox to get his newspaper and he said he would talk about something I need help with when he will see our landlord next time.. Small things, but very important for a good relationship between neighbors.

A good neighbor is one that gives, gives, gives, and never stop giving. A bad neighbor is one that loves to receive, receive, receive, and stop talking to you the moment he gets nothing from you. I don't know which one I belong to . . . all I know is I love to give and I also love to receive.

A good neighbor is friendly and a friend on the rare occasions that you need a hand. As you say, it's about giving and receiving.

Thank you! We have all religions in my building. Some like to talk about spiritual things and some like other subjects but they are all pretty friendly.

Glad you agree with my definition of a god neighbor. Yes, there are all kinds of neighbors.
