So no Ho ho ho for him, its more like oh n o no no.I feel so bad for my so n as he works so hard for his money then to have a hoodlum steal it. I dont know now if he is coming to see me or not. my thats just so siccing his second theft of his bike the first was an old bik e but now hes out real money. And I cannot even help him financially; I hate not being able to help my own son.

@Hatley I got my bike for free from a friend that wasn't using the bike. Maybe he can find someone kind like I did or buy a second-hand bike?

That is horrible news, so sorry for your son. I hope he can find who took it, he didn't have it locked up? But unfortunately your right, it is the time of year for people to steal things.

was it stolen from the same place as the last one? I'd be tempted to start taking a wheel off when I went inside, or never taking my bike there, yikes.

no I think he was at a different restaurant and he felt safe as he had got the heaviest bike lock made as its a brand new bike.

Feeling bad for your son and for you because you are feeling bad about it. I know the feeling as our youngest son had 2 bikes stolen years ago. They both had locks on them, but the thief cut them off.

Very truly sad! There are few people that I can say I actually 'hate', but someone that steals like that is one of the groups that I can hate...and then sleep like a baby all night long! I understand you're frustration, not being able to help him! But I also know that that barely helps you much in reality! Start a donation page on Facebook or wherever, All you need is something like 30 people willing to donate ten bucks! I'll be the first to donate, and I'll triple it to $30 to prime the pump if you do so! I can understand people stealing things like food on occasion if they're uber-poor (not really with all the government programs in the US) but it's a Hell of a lot more understandable then these idiots! Stay positive!

Hard to imagine that they would follow him to a restaurant, but criminals don't exactly think normally I suppose, @Hatley! I find the police are rarely helpful in these cases (sometimes you get lucky), but They won't come out for anything that's been stolen unless over $,2000 of stuff has been stolen (here at least), so you have to go in and physically fill out a police report! I hope you're/his region is different ! I wish you're son the best, and you too with you're worries, of course!
