Going back to the childish world of children's books

One of the most weirdest and unique children's books and the movie made after it, even gets adult fans thinking in a world of imagination, so guess the quote "Have you ever wondered why a raven is like a riding desk" ......
I just wish I could go back to the easy days, the whimsical days.... I miss being a child, but I guess you never actually grow up, that childish side will always be within you, ok so that brings me to my second favourite quote from one of my favorite books guess the second quote " childhood is not from birth to a certain age, at a certain age the child is grown and puts away childish things, childhood is the kingdom where nobody dies..."

Ofcourse, because we appreciate it more, I am still young though, but not a child, I guess you will always miss that part of your childhood you enjoyed the most... We appreciated those little moments... Like the quotes I listed above from Alice in Wonderland which gave me a sense of imagination growing up... and then I moved to a more mature side of life when you have to grow up... which brings me to the second quote from another book I enjoyed, breaking dawn....

Now that I am with my two young children, while telling them stories, doing things together with them, or just simply spending time with them make me feel like I am experiencing my second time childhood. I know the child within me has never leave me, and it's coming back to me now.

@Prakshi_22 Yes, it's really joyful and peaceful to be with the kids, of course, sometimes lots of patience are required too.

Carroll invented the riddle to be unanswerable but, in a later edition of the book, provided an answer: "A raven is like a writing desk because it can produce a few notes, though they are very flat; and it is nevar put with the wrong end in front!"
Unfortunately, his assiduous publisher's editor corrected the intentional misspelling of "nevar" and so part of the point was lost ('nevar' is 'raven' backwards)!
I think that I will be grown up tomorrow but, unfortunately, as we get older our stature decreases, so I am possibly in the process of growing down.

@Prakshi_22 Reading helped to escape into a whole other world, you place yourself as a character in the book rather than watching TV and having everything depicted for you.reading gives you a great imagination which almost seems like a reality whether it was back in the day or now,i remember reading books like wizard of oz...as well as lord of the flies, even shakespear painted a picture in my mind that took me in the times the story was based. I too miss the innocent days of my childhood,Harry potter was one of my favourites,i guess all in all we dont grow up,we just get bigger.

@preston22 Harry potter is one of my favorites as well...Do you like old literature?? In my opinion, it depends on the content of the book, even though Shakespeare's sonnets and novels are classics, its abit to cliche...but I guess it does has relevance to the modern day ...

When I was a child I loved to read Pippi Longstockings Adventures,The Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew Mysteries. I grew into the classics in high school like Shakespeares Hamlet, Midsummer Nights Dream, and Romeo and Juliet. English Literature in college gave me insights into poetry, Poe, Ralph Waldo Emerson and great novelists. But the classics like Snow White, Cinderella, Mary Poppins,Robinson Crusoe, and Pinocchio are forever etched in this little girls heart.
