Why am I so tired ?

I went to bed at 23:10 yesterday so I was probably asleep by 12, I don't remember waking up in the night at all which is not like me. Vinnie woke up at 06:15 so I made him a bottle and took it in to him, he went back to sleep then until 08:00, I must have been back asleep by 06:45 so I got almost another 1.5 hours. I got up with him at 08:00 and had breakfast and a coffee and played with him for a bit but I just felt exhausted, he went back down for a nap at 09:30 and I thought I would have an hour as well which I never do anymore, I normally spend his nap time sorting the house out and catching up on things that are awkward to do when he is awake. Next thing I know I could hear him on the monitor and it was 11:30 and even then I really struggled to get out of bed. It is 14:30 now and he is having a little nap and I am tempted to go to sleep myself I still feel like it is early morning and I haven't woken up yet. I was planning on training tonight but I don't think that is going to happen at this rate. Do you ever have days like this where you could just sleep and sleep ? The picture is my sisters 3 week old little girl having a nap isn't she a cutie x

What a cute little girl. Have you checked your iron level? This can be the cause.

Actually that would make sense as I have been anemic in the past, it is only today so I won't worry yet but if it carries on I will get it checked. I had completely forgotten about that x

@shellyjaneo I know, because I have always been anemic and sometimes the level of iron drops and I immediately feel tired.

when you have kids it makes you feel very tired even when you haven't felt like you did much best of luck try to squeeze in rest when you can.

@shellyjaneo it took me a lot longer to recover and get used to it my wife seemed to adjust a lot faster she doesn't sleep much anyway sometimes I wonder how she doesn't just crash but I think its years of poor sleep that she is used to it.

Baby looks very cute in the picture. I think you would have been physically tired, therefore, you body would have needed more rest and consequently you slept more than what you expected.

Yes there are days when I could do that. With three kids, I'm usually pretty tired by the end of the day. Although this time last year, I found myself getting more tired than usual. Just going up the stairs I'd be out of breath. Turns out I was anemic. If this persists, maybe talk to your doctor.

A few people have suggested Anemia and it is funny because I used to be Anemic but it never even crossed my mind. If it carries on I will go to the doctor. I am exhausted today but I had an awful nights sleep so it's not a surprise x

Oh yes of course - When the weather is gloomy, the only thing I want is to curl in bed under the fluffy blankets :)

She is adorable. I thin anytime you re taking care of a baby, or even a child that is a little older, you find yourself just plain worn out.

If at all you slept very late compared to your daily schedule, it is quite common that you feel lazy all the day, more over its a weekend, since all the week days you will be tired any busy, you may feel sleepy on this leisure day
