I thought that it was delightful, but what I did not realize was that Thumper, the bunny, Flower, the skunk, and Bambi all came into being in this charming movie that was released in 1942!! WHAT? That was 73 years ago.
I had no idea that the movie was that old, AND it was in color!! Of course, "Gone With The Wind," my favorite movie of all time was released in color in 1939.
Now what year do you think that Sonny and Cher released their famous hit, "I Got You, Babe?" It was the number one song in 1965! We're talking FIFTY years ago.
Sometimes I just can't believe that so many years have flown by.
What about the Susan B. Anthony coin? Released in the U.S. in 1979. That's thirty-six years ago. And the Beatles FIRST movie? "A Hard Day's Night" was first shown in London's Piccadilly Circus over FIFTY years ago.
Time really flies by fast. It's truly amazing.
What do you think?

Reminds me of a joke:
Time flies like the wind, fruit flies like a banana...

@whiteream I agree. The older I get, the faster time seems to goes by. This entire year has just gone by so fast that it's truly difficult to believe.

Yes it has that sad scene, but over all it is a wonderful movie and so incredible for 1942. Disney films are some of the best movies out there.

@IreneVincent you depressed me a bit with all that time flying I haven't grown up. I still watch Bambi and I rock with Sonny and Cher tunes. Just gotta keep the child alive in our hearts. I have the video Gone with The Wind but haven't watched it in a while. Now I will.

OH! You will like "Gone With the Wind," I'm sure. It's a long movie but you just don't want it to end. AND there is a sequel that follows it up nicely, entitled "Scarlett." If you watch "Gone With the Wind" be sure to watch "Scarlett" for the happy ending you really WANT to see.

Sorry about that. It made me feel old too. Some times I just can't believe that things happened that long ago and are still so memorable in my mind. Some times it seems like such a short time has passed and yet many years have gone by.
