Did You Ouija, Do You Ouija, Would You Ouija

There is a discussion on myLot that prompted this discussion. Though I hate to give it attention, I have provided the link to source it. . In any event, have any of you used a ouija board in the past? If so, were your experiences positive or negative? If you currently use a ouija board, what purpose in your life does it serve for you? If you have never used a ouija board or are not a current user, but have used one in the past, would you use one again if the opportunity arose?
I like playing with my ouija early in the day and getting advice for what my next step should be.

I played with one when I was younger and had a bad experience. The cabinets opened and shut constantly, drawers opened and shut, and there was a heavy feeling something horrible was about to happen. That's when we put it up and I never touched it again and I never would. Their not a game and it can be dangerous.

The Bible shows that we shouldget get rid of everything that has to do with magic .. See Deuteronomy chapter 18!! Also Acts talks about that those who became Christians got rid of books about magic...

@buenavida do you think the ouija board is a form of magic?

@HanVanMeegerin No I don't. It's just silly people frightening themselves.

@jaboUK I expect you remember where we first came across each other here I'm certainly not going to go down the argumentative route again...not because I don't like to argue but purely because I think it'd be hard for us to argue this point. I've had an experience with the device mentioned...around 20 years ago. Now, I'm not actually saying it wasn't a bunch of silly people frightening themselves because that is actually what I would really like to think. I was one of those people and I didn't just frighten myself I was utterly terrified. There could well be a scientific explanation for what happened but I can't think of one. The reason we can't argue the point is at the moment i'm not going to say what happened. The cynical amongst you will say i'm saving it for my discussion but that isn't the case...I'll write exactly what happened if HanVanMeegerin gets a few followers who are genuinely interested in paranormal experiences and won't make fun of what I write.

I think that everyone who is the least bit curious and is interesting in the paranormal has used a Ouija board at some time. There are some entertaining movies on the subject too.

I never played with one, but my cousins did once and it scared them. They asked for our deceased grandfather to prove he was there and knock three times as a yes. At the same time my other cousin went to get them because we were going to do something and he knocked on the door three times (not hearing anything from inside) and they all started screaming. They thought his knocking was the knocking they asked for. Possibly a well-timed coincidence, but possibly the other thing.

@HanVanMeegerin I don't know. I never played it. Probably because no one else was playing it and I never had one. Probably a good thing for whatever was on the other side. I would have devoured anything evil. That's just what I do!

@OneOfMany that is weird. Did your cousins ever play ouija again?

@HanVanMeegerin The Ouija board opens the door to the demons. It is an invitation for them them to visit and they are troublemakers. This is what the Bible says: James 4:7New International Version (NIV) Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

@totobasso thanks for your details. The post that I linked shows a guy who seems to be having fun with it all. It's his right, but I worry for him or others who may follow his lead.

I played with one briefly as a child. Now, I know the dangers of it and would never play it again. It is an opening to the Occult and Demonic influences.
