////////6nope it is bleach belive it or not:p
when you get your flowers trim off 1 cm of the stems so you open up the water arteries in the stems then fill your vase with warm water NEVER cold as this can shock them:) then add 1 or 2 drops of any house hold bleach and this will kill off any bactira that can cause the flowers water canals to block up ( kinda like blocked arteries to the heart) then replace the water everyday and every second day add plant food any kinda food but bone marrow is best:)
That should keep your flowers looking fresh for ages...
Hope this helps you out have a nice day:p

Oh my god, really? I never heard this before! Bleach doesn´t prolong the life of many things! Worth a try, I´ll let you know how I get on.

I just cut the stems of the flowers daily and change the water also. A lady that works at a flower shop told me to add a little bit of 7up or sprite to the water. My flowers do seem to last quite a bit longer when I do it

I've always added an aspirin to my flowers, but I have many friends who add Sprite or 7Up. It may well be the sugar content that does this. I also find that if I cut the bottom of the stem at an angle every few days they last longer. We all sure want them to last as long as they can.

I have always heard to cut fresh flowers and put them into warm water immediately. Make sure to always cut them at an angle even with flowers bought in a store or flower shop. I have always used an aspirin or the packet you get with some of the flowers. I have learned a few tricks I will have to try and see if they work. I will let you know when I do.

I usually use sugar for it. Lady from flower shop told me about it and it works great.

I put a teaspoon full of sugar in the vase with the water before I put flowers in. Seems to make them last longer
