How Much Time Do You Spend on Your Computer?

Nearly every morning, I spend about 45 minutes to an hour on my computer while I eat breakfast and watch the first part of "Good Morning America." Then, I scoot out of the house and go for a walk with one of my friends, often followed by an exercise class.
Later, I meet friends for lunch, run errands, grocery shop and do things like that.
Sometime in the afternoon, I return home and get on my computer. Except for fixing dinner and doing odds and ends around the house, my computer is in my lap while I first watch the news with my husband, and then other shows on TV.
I keep up my blog and then write my articles for The Daily Voice News. (They want other reporters, especially sports, tech and regional news, if anyone is interested).
Once I have achieved all that, then I finish up my day with MyLot, answering emails or checking out my friends on Facebook. I end up spending four or five hours total on the computer every day.
What about you? How much time do you spend on the computer.

You schedule sounds similar to mine. Of course, sometimes we go out in the evening, and then I don't spend as much time on the computer.

Off and on throughout the night unless I am at work. Sometimes more than others, but I can't really say an exact estimate. Except, of course, "way too much" as Yuki said below.

@yukimori - Ahhh! I didn't think about the mobile devices when I wrote this. I guess I am on the computer almost all the time, too!

Truthfully, I spend more time on the computer than I should. I know I am not the only one that does the same. I have been on medical leave for a month and am limited to what I can physically do until I am healed. So, here I sit.
We only have a laptop and an outdated desktop computer. Each of us has a smartphone so if either of us is so inclined we can use the smartphone to access the internet when the other is using the laptop.

Yes, when I am not on the computer, it seems that I am on my cellphone. Way too much is probably the best answer for all of us!

One of the owners of The Daily Voice News is like that. She will give me an assignment at 1:00 in the morning. When I wake up at 6:30 a.m., I write it and she is awake and able to comment on it. I find myself wondering ... how does she do that??

Yes, I feel a bit guilty about the amount of time I spend on the computer ... but it keeps me from vegging out on TV, which is probably a good thing.

I think you have a busy schedule and you keep yourselves involved all day. Spending 5 hours daily in front of computers is pretty long time, in my view. I would spend one or two hours during a day and that too depending upon my other priorities.

Yes, I am spending a lot of time on the computer. Of course, I am only online when I would have just been watching TV otherwise, so I feel that being on the computer is a better use of my time.

@DeborahDiane - Computer may be a better way instead of watching TV. However, constantly sitting in front of computer could adversely affect our health. While watching TV our mind does not remain as active as it remains active while working on a computer. We remain mere viewer in front of a TV.

@dpk262006 - I agree. While neither is good for us, the computer keeps our brains more engaged.

Way too much!
Well, I'm not on it constantly all day - just throughout the day, here and there, when I have the chance. I never actually calculated how much time is spent here - but perhaps it's too much (which is what happens when we get addicted to certain sites!).

Oh, there's a reason I can do this. I have never just sat and watched a TV show. I always read novels while I watched TV, years before I had a computer. When I can't do that, because there were other people talking or doing things, I would crochet while I watched TV and join in the conversation. TV just doesn't hold my attention enough to get me to sit still long enough to just watch it. I have to be doing something else, too. The computer works well as a distraction.

@deborahdiane Your schedule appears to be pretty neat for a housewife with a variety of interests and talents.
Well, the time spent on my laptop varies from day to day. At times, 2-3 hours when we do not go to the community center and at other times just an hour or so.
