I Don't Read Discussions From The Generic Green Avatars

I don't read discussions fromm the generic green avatars as most of them seem pretty boring to me. It's like the person has just put a few words together in order to get paid somehow. Sometimes, like this morning, I see the same avatar in a few posts, one after the other one. Not a very good strategy. Do you bother with those posts or do you just go on your merry way?

Hohoho I go along my merry way and yesterday and today there is a new user who is just writing one line post one right after the other he had more than 30 that I saw. I reported him.

If there are one after the other by the same person, I usually pass them by.

That one this morning was a spammer who posted 63 over the night. He had been removed before so I think he was getting even...in his eyes only. I do respond to the green guys if they are asking for help or their title shows promise. They should know how to make their post look more interesting..so I know what you are saying...

Same here, unless the posts would be extremely interesting or informative.

I have been trying (unsuccessfully) to add a picture to replace the green avatar. Please, it isn't my fault.

You may have to size your photo down, I did.

@Morleyhunt Wow I am surprised I just changed mine and had no problem. Maybe try a different browser. I use Firefox

The majority do seem to fall into the pointless category, but there a still a few worthy ones around.

I think people should take the time to put up some kind of avatar and if there isn't one, I tend to assume that the posts wil be somewhat generic, too.

I have an avatar not a real photo, at least other readers can recognize the avatar. The "standard" one could be anyone.

I go about my merry way for the most part, but some days there are just more of those discussions, and I just report them and then move on.

I have not even noticed to be honest! Sounds rather annoying though.

I know a couple with the loaner avatars, but for the most part unless they are super new, I avoid em

Having a distinct avatar makes me more likely to read a post. But the real determining factor is the title and first words. If those don't catch my interest, I'll pass it by.

Of course some titles are very misleading too.

It would depend on what the topic is. Everyone deserves a chance to be heard and get feedback so that they can get better.

I avoid those people who are begging me to post for them because it is clearly cheating and it is what killed bubblews. I also avoid people who post generic posts like " what is love" then it is just few sentences. I dont really discriminate with no avatars because I encountered some of them who were good.

I follow a few users that have the green avatars and I do not understand why they do not take the time to change it, it takes a very little time to upload an avatar and I appreciate to recognize my connections looking at the avatar.

I wouldn't discount them just because they have no avatar, I like to give them a chance. I hope they learn that it's in their best interests to have one, because as you say, it makes you more easily recognised.

I check them occasionally. Usually I find out that doing so wasn't worth my while.

I have seen one or two people who do participate a lot on here and respond to a lot of post. I have no idea why they leave their avatar like they do. it would help if they did change it. I know they are active members and when I do see their name yes I do respond to their post. But it is only a few of them I do this too not all of them.

I check the names as there are a couple of people without avatars that I keep track of. But I agree, in the main they just seem to be looking for the money.
