Why Military/Army people don't get more recognition than Cinema actors?

Do you think the military or army people get the recognition for the selfless service that they give? Do cinema actors get more recognition than the selfless people working for the country? If yes, how can it be solved?

Actors are magnets to good and bad news stories. I personally don't read what is written about actors. I do read the newspaper every day. I am more interested in real news that celebrity news.
