How debt affects your thinking and day to day activities?

Do you think that your debt comes in your mind every now and then and gives you unnecessary sorrow and tension? Do you have a fixed plan to pay off your debt? What is your priority? 1) Debt doesn't matter if your wealth increases 2) Debt should be closed soon to get a peace of mind I'm the second type. Hope I got enough money to clear my debt tomorrow itself. Gotta work a lot to pay the debt.

Debt makes you think future is not bright. Also you struggle to live day by day. And makes things even harder for you on every day basis. Yoou don't take risks and don't grow in life. That is what happens.

@skysnap Haha good luck to you too. I'm also recovering but only started my journey in a dark tunnel. It should take some time to see the light.

@Driftr No, not lucky - just hard working and good at investing! No luck involved.

@destry Sorry if that word was offensive. Yes, good planning and hard work has lead to a peaceful life now for you. For me, unfortunately this is a student debt for which I cannot really blame myself.

I do not have debt, and I do not think I will go into debt other than for a place to stay. A home loan is the only debt that is good. All the other debts are risky because the interest rate is high, and we cannot get better return.

I admire you for not having any debt. I have been dependent on it. I sure hope next year I'd have the fiscal responsibility to live within my budget.

as long as I am paying my bills, and not behind I am fine, I don't like having debt but it is what it is for now.

I keep hopeing my kids get rid of their debt, two have done it but one is still struggeling. Once he gets serious about it we will help him but until he gets serious about it we are waiting... We're old, we have no debt.

@PainsOnSlate Having no debt is the best thing to do. I also like your point that you're waiting for him or her to become more serious about getting rid of the debt to actually help.

I do not let it bother me, there is nothing that I can do about it by worrying. I know it will resolve.
