Some MyLotters Just Do My Head In!

I am nice to those who are nice to me. I'm also not a person who likes to stir up trouble. But lately I can't help but be a little bit too honest with certain Mylotters.
When I used to be on here many years ago, I just let things slide because I know that other certain Mylotters will deal with it. But now, maybe cause I'm getting older and learning to stand up for myself and for what's right or I am just a grouch haha
Since I have been here ( with my new account ) I've had 5 dudes in about a week, tell me they love me or want to be in a relationship with me. Even though I have no clue who they are. Not a BIG deal but it annoys me! Just not a girl who falls for crappy pick up lines.
I see people who are obviously advertising their stuff. ( I just mean the people who are ONLY here to advertise their stuff and don't care about anything else )
I see people who start a discussion with like 4 words to which no one can really help that discussion escalate.
Or the people who just like / comment on discussions so they get noticed.
OR and this annoys me, they try to lure you in by telling you they have found a great PTC site and want to "help you" get money but really they just want you as their referral.
I'm just not in the mood. I can't be nice or fake. If you annoy me and do something wrong or try to be horrible to other nice, dedicated MyLotters, I will cyber slap you!
I'm not saying I am perfect on here and I'm sure I annoy others. But for the ones who are clearly not doing what MyLot has been asked of you and to follow the rules, I can't bite my tongue anymore.
Are you a Mylotter who let's things slide or do you say it like it is?

I let things slide online or offline to be honest. I pick my battles carefully as in when someone upsets my children momma bear comes out to defend. Other than that I don't really say much to anyone.

That's very understandable. I mean not that I have any children but I mean offline I keep my mouth shut because I don't want to drag my family or friends into anything but online, I say what I think 98% of the time. Not to be a b**** but because some things need to be stop.

Thank you for the compliment. I didn't realise my photo would have any affect on anyone. But it's annoying that I now feel like I got to change it because of them. I could change it to my favourite animal or just something I don't know. Will have to look around. Thank you for answering!

I like cyber slap and want to learn how to cyber slap as couldn't find on 'Wikihow' lol! But you are right there are few myloters who tend to do things which annoys other members. I won't support such members either, they need understand the culture of mylot world and follow it and cooperate to keep a healthy environment for discussions.

haha I actually have no idea what a cyber slap is. I've never heard it before. Just made it up on the fly as I was typing the discussion out.

It may be a disturbing to receive odd messages relating to love and claiming to be in relationship with you. These kinds of users needed to be blocked forthwith.

Yeah I reported and blocked who I could find. I couldn't remember about 3 of them. I just kept on deleting messages hoping they would stop and then when they didn't I reported and blocked them.

Well, that is way annoying. I agree. But this is not a dating site nor a site to solicit anything. You have the right to block those annoying users. You don't need them commenting on your content at all. So far I have been lucky without having any annoying people.

@VivaLaDani13 No, it certainly isn't just because you are a female. You are not the only female here. Most of the other younger females do not use their real pictures. Your beautiful smiling avatar along with your more than expected nicer/ helpful personality makes you an easy target.

I let it slide most of the time. There will always be things and people that are annoying and sometimes even disgusting - like those indecent proposals :) I just ignore the unpleasant things most of the time but when I am personally attacked , I can't help it but my fangs and my claws springs up :D

1. maybe choose carefully the members you follow back
2. go to settings then change your message preference to "Only those I follow can message me" because i think people don't notice that the default setting is "Anyone can message me, except for those I've blocked"

yeah, because that's the default setting, which most members don't know about and leads to unpleasant problems like yours.
however, i hope you still send a pm to @goaskalice (aka alex mylot admin) so he'll know and act of them.

@moffittjc If I could.....actually I probably still wouldn't lol I'm not exactly the hitting / slapping type unless I was in real danger.
Actually, I am not really flattered to be honest. I know I probably should be but there is a certain way to charm me or make me feel good about myself. The way they have been doing it on here isn't the way for me to feel anything except annoyed.

Totally depends on my mood.
A few times i've got into it over things i wished i hadn't but came on here in a bad mood
other times i don't let anything get to me.
I'm still learning not to transfer bad moods to people i deal with on here.
There are people that are annoying, i know i can be very much so, but it's best just take 5 then if you're still angry say something then rather than reacting in haste.

I am glad you speak up for yourself. One time someone tried to steal my true love and it took 5 years before i was able to stand up for myself. Even got the happy ending. On the other extreme i had a friend, Inigo Montoya, who tried to stand up for himself but he was too young the first time and he spent the next 30 years in the revenge business. That obsession led to excessive drinking and following an intelligent but bad Italian gentleman. He was warned once that his over developed sense of vengeance got him into trouble "one of these days." He didnt listen and eventually got his "revenge" but it left him wondering what to do next in life.
All that to say, its good to stand up for yourself and as long as you are polite behave "as you wish".

I am so glad everything worked out for you. I had this friend who always did stand up for himself but he did it the wrong way. He would tell people he was a ninja and that he would fight them. I mean I think it was good to at least say he was prepared to fight his own battles ( not that I really condone violence ) but sadly enough he took this ninja life a bit too seriously. Got lost in his own little world. BUT at least he knew how to stand up for himself.
