Metal Detectors

I want to buy an underwater metal detector. Does anyone have one, which make is it & would you recommend it? I´ve looked on ebay & on various websites & there are loads of them which vary wildly in price! We want to use it for an hour or 2 each day, on the beach & in the sea.
