What are your favorite Indian foods?

Butter Naan, Palak paneer, Prawn curry,Vegetable rice. These are my favourite Indian foods.

I love Tandoori Chicken, fish fry, ice creams, rasgoola etc

I like Chicken Tikka Masala, Peshwari Naan, Cauliflower Baaghi, Onion Baaghi, Onion Salad and Poppadoms, Bombay Potatoes, Pilau Rice and the occasional Meat Dansaak, instead of Tikka Masala. I sometimes like it hot!:-) Apologies for not being sure how to spell Baaghi?

I like most Indian foods but I tend to prefer the dry curries with medium heat and good aroma. I believe that these generally are associated with Northern India and Pakistan. It is not easy to find really good Indian cooking where I live in the UK. There are some very expensive restaurants which serve excellent meals - at a price. There are also some really good small restaurants which understand curry and serve a limited range of food but very well cooked. I always like to find a chef who knows his food and spices, cares about his customers and is delighted to welcome and educate the newcomer. I don't want fancy surroundings, live sitar music or anything like that. There are some very good, small, off the high street restaurants ... but they are not easy to find!

I like Jaipur vegetables. And the Sauce from Butter chicken over basmati rice. I also like Naan.
