Do you wear your coat indoors to keep warm?

I am trying to save on electricity bills so decided to wear my coat when I am at home and feeling really cold. I find that it does help, although it is not always the most comfortable option as my jacket is quite bulky. Am I the only one that does this?

Sometimes I wear two pairs of socks and slipper to keep my feet warm. Seems that if my feet are cold the rest of me is too

I do not overheat, so I wear a very warm sweater inside the home, but not my coat.

I might have to get a nice comfortable sweater. I don't feel comfortable wearing sweaters for long periods of time either.

Not my jacket, but I have a couple of nice sweaters or if I am really cold, my daughter bought me this bathrobe years ago and it is super warm...warm enough that when my dogs were still babies and had to go outside in the middle of the night and we had blizzard conditions, I wore that robe.

@Carmela I also have a bathrobe that is nice and thick that I will sometimes wear around the house over my street clothes.

@gudheart My little one is very efficient and uses very little electricity, saves us a bundle on oil. But without it I would need my coat as well.

I have an oil heater, but as it uses electricity I tend to only use it when I really need too.

Yes, I used to wear a big winter coat on even inside so I could save on heating expenses. Most of the times, like right now, I have a small blanket draped around my shoulders to keep the heat in. When my head gets too cold I put it up over my head for a bit. I have to remove it to do housework, but that's natural with laundry and washing dishes!

@gudheart It is. More than anything keeping my body warm wasn't the hard part. Up until last year keeping my feet warm was the challenge and I would got to bed with cold feet, which is hard to fall asleep with. Now I have sheepskin slippers, and I put them on all the time. They have rubber bottoms so I can wear them like shoes in the house. Whenever my feet start to get chilly I put them on. I wear socks with them, since my skin and wool doesn't get along. It also keeps the slippers cleaner. I recommend it, if you have trouble keeping your feet warm.

We don't have a heating system indoors here. So we must wear more clothes when we are at home. As it is still cold in winter.

@gudheart I think so. So I always think it is quite comfortable to stay indoors in the north since they have heating system.

I would find it a bit too awkward to wear a coat. Instead I have a fluffy blanket over me when I'm sitting in my chair.

No winter where I live now, but when I used to live there I used to turn on the heater. I don't think it would be too comfy wearing a coat or jacket indoor.

I do at the office. It takes a while for the heat to warm up the place, and also I sit next to a window so there is an extra chill.

I also wear my jacket sometimes especially when my blanket isn't doing the trick. It's like wearing a blanket even when you're walking around the house haha

I will wear jackets or cover with small blankets, but the part of me that gets cold is my feet and then the back of my neck.
