Homemade Decorations

Only eight days to go and it's Christmas.
I have already wrapped the gifts, and now I am decorating the packages.
I have made salt dough and I have made some decorations that I have hand painted.
For more decors, I have cut some holly branches and dwarf pomegranates for our little tree. I have added a lantern cut from the dried physalis plant, and my package decors are ready.
They cost very little, but they are cute to personalize the gifts.
Tomorrow I am going to print the Christmas cards.
Do you make your own decorations or do you buy them?

I love homemade decorations. I haven't made any this year, but I've been thinking about it.

You are very talented - that little decoration is beautiful. If I did gifts for anyone other than my husband and the dog I might consider making pretty things! I did that years ago when I had time on my hands.

@AbbyGreenhill Yes, I hand paint most of them, I even painted some plain bags, they looked nice after the decorations.

You are so talented I always appreciated to DIY works because they are unique. And yours are very creative and nice. People shall be so happy to see it. It means more because it is hand-made. I am not good at making this. I like painting and cooking. Perhaps it is better for me to prepare a feast for Christmas

I buy one new one each year, and make some on and off. I have so many things to wrap still....

In our house, we always have a Christmas tree during the Christmas season. The decorations that we put up in that Christmas tree this year are the ones that we use last year. My mother always decorates it. I am not very good at designing stuffs. But I have a nephew that is very fascinated in designing things. He is just 8 years old now.

We do a mixture of both. I buy craft supplies for the kids to make ornaments with. This year I purchased snowmen, Christmas trees, snowflakes and round ball ornament foam cutouts for them to decorate. We complete a different ornament each week. Plus they get to decorate more than one at a time with different materials. From stickers to those little pom pom balls, they have decorated a few of each. Of course Keith and I had to also join in on the fun and decorate as well. It is a fun family project.

Most of our decorations have been bought over the years. But we have a few handmade ones, now that we have children. We have handmade ornaments on our tree. We have a couple of handmade christmas trees, that are cardboard cones my son painted green and glued rhinestones on.

When my son was little we would make everything. I don't do that too much anymore. I wish, I had the time to do that type of thing. Yours look very nice.
