Tapped Out On Holiday Gift Ideas

My brain just isn't working on gifts this year. Haven't I given my dear friends and family everything I can think of (or afford) already? Not that they are concerned about gifts...presents are not the deciding factor in our relationships lol. Seriously, I'm truly out of ideas. No one with a smart phone uses calendars (and some are so beautiful! A dying industry?) or buys books any more. Sweets? Nope, not at our age! Gadgets? No, all the interesting igadgets are $500 +! I found some creative thumb drives to give last year (Steam Punk, their favorite car, hand made) but now that's old. And time is running out. Suggestions would be appreciated!

@seren3 you could always invite your family and friends over to your house do like a home cooked meal and have everyone participate with making, or have a mini snowball fight and then you all sit down with hot chocolate go over old stories or play some board games they're always fun

@AspireToTravelAbroad Nice ideas! No snow, but the hot chocolate would go well anywhere right now!

Christmas presents and what to have for dinner are the worst part of my day. I don't know what to do about either.

Years ago I remember spending all Christmas Day with friends at a theatre complex. Haven't done that since!

I use a calendar and there is nothing better to write down my meetings and appointment and to see them all with a simple look at the whole month.

I get a yearly calendar with boxes big enough to write in too. And I love the pics (2016 is ballet dancers) on the kitchen wall.

since I have no idea how old the family members are that you're looking to buy for it's hard to make suggestions. Maybe a gift card to their favorite restaurant?

That's a good idea -- never thought about that! Young and old will appreciate.

Books. Pick one that fits each person's interest, sports, cooking, crochet, science, etc.

None of my friends want paper - a Kindle book could work! Cheers.
