Woo Hoo, fuel for a very low price...

We use a local grocery stores loyalty points for various things, like minutes on my cell phone (I only pay for a card every other month, the other months are from the points) and for fuel. Prices in the area are now so low that when he used to points last night, he got fuel for only 0.769/gal. I posted the receipt to prove it, but it is hard to read, the red arrow is pointing to the price. Needless to say, since there is no limit, not only did the car get filled up, but all our gas cans did too. Do you have a local store where you earn points for fuel or cell phone minutes? This is the cheapest we ever paid on this plan, what about you?

We do have several companies that offer some form of loyalty points, but I never tend to make use of them.

Really? Is there a reason you don't? I know my husband does keep track of the points for the fuel but as for my phone, I get a text message every time I get more points and I am able to view my points easily by signing into my account.

@Carmelanirel2 It just seems too much bother for a small return every now and then.

@Asylum Well, we have to eat, and this is our favorite store, so getting a few cents off fuel every month plus getting free minutes every other month on my phone is a plus since my husband retired.

Oh I think that is a great price! I am going to sign up for the Plenti card but I have only seen one gas station in our town that accepts it.

I understand, we used to drive a good 30 miles because the local stores didn't have gas pumps, but now the one store that is closer recently installed these pumps, making it easier to fill up without driving a long distance.

Not quite like this but there are rewards and money off fuel from time to time. Gas would never be as cheap as your's though :o(

This is the cheapest I have seen since we started, so I don't think we will get it at that price again
