How much do you spend on presents at Christmas?

I expect this has already been asked many times before but I am interested as last year we spent a stupid amount of money and this year around £200. Our son is excited about his presents but nothing else while our daughter does not seem interested about it and just wants her presents now. I have told them the meaning of Christmas and what it means to different people and they are still not too bothered. They are only 7 and 8 and they seem to have outgrown the magical feeling of Christmas which to me is sad.

The only one who needs to know what I spend is me!

That's actually a really good question... I never really count the money I've spent all together but I think it would be a pretty large number. But I think on average, I do okay. I don't spend too much money on the presents, but I do make sure everyone gets something nice.

Every year, there's always been a budget to spend on Christmas gifts that ranges from $20-$35, even if it's gift cards.

Probably too much. I was trying to not spend anything this year and just make everything but I did end up buying a couple gifts.

I spent about $50 on my husband. We spent a little more than $100 on each of the kids (and our MIL bought them more). We don't have a lot of money, but ou kids are 6 and 2 so they are happy with what we can afford. It might get harder when they get older.
