Taste buds

When I was young I absolutely hated cheese. Now as an adult I love cheese. I have a lot of different foods like this that I couldn't stand when I was younger, but I love them now.
Our taste buds often change. I am not sure the facts on how often even though I have looked it up a number of times. Every source that I have some to says something different about taste buds and how often they change, fall off and grow back.
But that is neither here nor there. To me I think it is crazy how we all of a sudden like something that at one point we didn't like at all.
What is something you hated as a child but like now?

Hi T_gray, looking back, I was such a fuss pot when I was younger. I was also a very slow eater. I don't know how my mother didn't beat me senseless!! I "hated" tomatoes, wouldn't eat butter on bread in sandwiches, didn't like cheese and wouldn't eat fruit. I put the word 'hated' in inverted commas because I never actually tasted them - I just decided I didn't like them. All of the above mentioned I eat now, LOL.

@T_gray Not at all! My mother didn't really buy fruit, with the exception of bananas and apples, neither of which I was fond of. On the other hand, I was pretty good with vegetables.
