Maybe you have heard the old “Silk Road” of China or not. The silk road is a kind of commerical communication of ancient China with the west world. It combines the east and the west toghter. Nowdays, the morden China wants to get renaissance in 21 century. So president Xi Jinping propel the "One belt One Road " policy to start communication though continent and sea. This policy could get renaissance for the middle Asia and Africa.

I have heard the phrase, which I understand refers to developing and increasing exportation from China to many countries. I may be wrong, but I believe that the name was taken due to the original Silk Road, which an ancient export network to introduce silk to the Western world.
I do appreciate that this a rather basic outline of the system, but sadly I know very little else about it.
