A lot of vegetables for a dollar

I am not a morning person.
When I am on leave, and intend to have a relaxing time, the last thing I want to do is to wake up early in the morning.
Today I wake up rather late, and right after brunch, I go to the market to get some vegetables.
By this time, the vegetables sellers are eager to go home.
They have quite a lot of unsold vegetables.
That is why they sell me a lot of vegetables for a dollar.
If I were to get the same quantity of vegetables in the supermarket, I would have to pay five dollars.
I guess the early buyers get the nicest looking vegetables, but I manage to get more for the same amount of money.
Sometimes tardiness has its own rewards.

Yes, you are right. When you go to the market pretty late, you will get much more of stuff with the same number of money, but sometimes the stuff doe snot look nicest. But, it is okay if you can get it cheaper. Sometime, I also do it, and get better of price for some stuffs.

@scheng1 I think you have a good idea to apply. I will try to use your strategy to get cheaper vegetables in the market, someday...Thank you...

I've had that experience from time to time where you get there the last hour or so before they close up and the farmers dont want to take the produce home so they give you a deal. I would go more often to ours but it is soooo crowded and I dont deal well with crowds or strange dogs.
