Who is That Hiding In The woods?

The instinct for survival has been gracefully ingrained in our subconscious. Even if obvious signs of threat are not apparent, the mind can pick up on foul subtleties. The "gut" feeling is nature's way of alerting us that something is lurking. When one feels a twist in the gut, take notice of everything. If one ignores this and falls prey, you have only to blame yourself. Who here has ever felt this way alone at night or in a place by themselves? Have you ever acted upon it? Just don't let me know it was Little Red Riding Hood

I can't say that's really happened to me. I might feel uneasy in certain situations, but that is only because I know what could happen, so it comes from the brain not the gut.

Can't say I've ever really been in that situation or at least I should say I try not to get into those kids of situations where I am too alone. But I am on my guard at all times - we live in a kooky world and you never know what can happen at any given moment. Having a fast reaction time can only be a plus!

Some people don't know how to react to gut feelings. It has happened to me several times, but too long of a story to tell here.

@Rosekitty Mostly I'm very gullible and think everyone is lovely! My husband is a much more canny judge of character.

That "gut" feeling is so important. That is what I am working on. Going with it instead of double thinking myself and going away from that first feeling.

@celticeagle..i know it is always best to go with your first feeling and not to double guess anything..wish most people did that..

I feel scared at times. As for the gut feeling, I ignored it once and that gave me some horrible nightmares that keep coming back even after 20 years. Cannot ignore them any more

Quite a few people seem to have a gut instinct story to tell. I hope they do, see what you started. :)

Listening to my gut has literally saved my life twice. In both instances someone else was attacked instead of me. I felt bad for them.
