My part-time retail job is keeping me away a lot from Mylot

I even volunteered to work an extra eight hours yesterday since the business is growing fast and freight was arriving in the form of a ton or so of bird seed.
I snatch a bit of time to post and read some pieces here though. After today, I am scheduled for two days off, but could be drafted for another day it is so crazy busy. At least it is a fun job with a great staff to work with.
Have a great day whatever you are doing.

If I weren't I would not be there. It is nice to have that freedom.

So great that you still work even though you are retired. Hoping that I can do the same one day soon. I have decided to semi-retire when I turn 62.

I did not retire until 71 and wish I had a year or more earlier.

@ladyDuck That is for certain. We have many gift items for bird lovers plus everything for people who like feeding birds/

That is true. I really never expected to work again after I retired four years ago.

Glad you are enjoying your "part-time" job even if you keep increasing the hours. Wishing you and Anne a wonderful Christmas

Thank you so much @Marylinda! After my five days straight starting Sunday, things may calm down for a while.

I wonder if you are really working part time!
I think you put in more hours than full timers, so you might as well say you are an "overtime" part-timer.
I just hope that you do not get too addicted to this job, and decide to work 12 hours a day for 365 days a year.

At least you have a job you live. That is very good.

Picked up an extra shift as well. Was supposed to have tonight off but they needed me to come in as a co worker won't be able to. I won't complain too much though as it is money sorely needed.
If you do end up with that extra shift I hope you enjoy it.

@JamesHxstatic are you still working in the pet shop? I hope you still like it the way you did before. My job takes me away from MyLot too.

Yes, we sell everything a birder could want, seed, feeders, binoculars, bird oriented gifts for birders and much more. It is still a fun place to work. I am off til Sunday, then work some every day until Christmas day, about 90 hours this month.

@LeaPea It is called Wild Birds Unlimited. I started in July. We sell everything for people interested in birds and the feeding of birds. It is a franchise and there may be stores where you live.

@JamesHxstatic I have not heard of it. I don't think it has stores around here.

@LeaPea2417 I think there are three stores in or near Atlanta, per an internet search.
