I´ll give you an offer you can't refuse

I loved the sentence when I saw it at The Godfather. The Godfather was used to make offers that other people could not refuse. Now I have seen a lot of such offers online. Either we buy something immediatly or the offer is forever out of our reach. In that way, we are taught to buy quickly, before the offer is gone and without spending a moment to think about whether we really want it or need it. Those Black Friday and Cybermonday offers are part of the same thing. And you suddenly find yourself with enough sheets to made beds for a boarding school, but not enough money to eat the rest of the month. Today, as I was clicking at a PTC site (I´m waiting for my eldest daughter who is coming with her son to pick the apricots from the highests branch), the site offered me a Christmas gift. I love gifts so I read on. If I spent $69 instead of $195 at a site I don´t know if it will hast until tomorrow, they would offer me a lot of extras. I thought about it. I had the time that others don´t. I asked myself what would I do if I had said $69. I ended up thinking that I´d save it for a rainy day. I´m mylotting and waiting for my daughter. I´m wearing a beautiful mexican dress that I bought over 20 years ago. It is mending but still beautiful and wonderful for this summer heat. I´m happy. I need nothing. Step away, Godfather. Joy to the world!

Yes, my husband likes to say. If something is 50% off you can buy it and save 50% or you can leave it and save 100%. No reason to get things we don't need.

True. If you really need it, you pay what it´s worth. If you don´t need it, why buy it.

I am quite capable of refusing any offer, unless it happens to involve Apricot jam.

@marguicha Sadly you cannot fax me any because it would probably stick to the machine, but maybe you could email some.

I so wish I could send you some. After all, I´m cooking some jam in this right moment. Not much, but still. The house is smelling like heaven.

LOL! I have never seen one of those offers I bothered to accept, ma'am! I will tell you something funny, though... If I am offered something in person that needs an immediate, "Yes, I'll take it!" or I lose the chance, I will pretend that I really want the item, but just don't have quite that much money, just to see how much lower the person will lower the price before I walk away laughing! I love to mess up a good sale for someone! (grinning broadly!)

If you don´t spend your money (or energy) in things that aren´t really worthwhile, you can use them for what you really need.

I've also found those offers keep coming back, so they are not the now you see them now you don't offers they want you to believe they are. There have been times I debated about whether or not I wanted something, and low and behold another better offer came along than the first offer that was going to be gone in a hurry. Believe it or not, I held out until I had the lowest of the low offers and it was indeed very good and I did enjoy the benefits of the product.

I have learnt to deal with such marketing tricks. There is always a next time for good sales, and offers. Even if I have to wait a whole year for it to come, a better offer will always comes.

The sales talk from salesmen nowadays are no different from all of these crazy offers online. Making us want to spend our hard earned money on all of those useless things I could say. I mean it's a crazy world, everyone is trying to get their money and doing whatever it takes. Sometimes people no longer care about fooling others as long as they get the bread, which is bad and sometimes immoral already. Take note, these are the people who graduated with great degrees in short they are educated, but nowadays it seems like the people who didn't get education because they are poor are the ones with kind heart Because for them money is not important and in return they give love more to others and give less attention to material things. Just saying... Happy Mylotting dear!

Just postpone your purchase and check if you need it badly. If not, you save everything rather than buying something at a discount that you don't use often.
