Has 2015 been a good year for You?

I would say 2015 has been a good year in a lot of ways for me. I have been here in another State for a little over a year, my puppy turned 1 year old last month, my older dog turned 3 and I turned one year older. The house has and is still getting a make over, the double paned windows are up and the new doors are also in and what a difference it makes in the utility bill. I have seen a lot of this State by taking day trips here and there. My son who is unmarried is trying to find a house to buy, he has a really good job and is well liked there and he says it is time for him to think about having his own home. He wants to buy in a certain area and has looked at two homes so far but they were not what he wanted.

2015 has been a mix of good and bad for me. This is the year that I divorced my husband after I caught him cheating on me with 6 different women from different countries, and hiding the fact that he had vasectomy. But this is also the year that I met a wonderful man who helped me through it all. This is the year that I gave up a good job to fix my marriage, but this is also the year that I got a much better paying jobs with better benefits and better opportunities for growth. All in all, I still consider 2015 as a good year simply because I refuse the bad to override all the good.

Even though it was bad in certain ways it did turn out good for you because you found a good man and a better job than you had. The good has overridden the bad.

It would be very difficult for me to decide. I retired in June 2014, so this has been my first full year of retirement and therefore very different than my previous years. Naturally there are some good aspects of 2015 and some not so good overall. Due to having plenty of free time I managed 9 holidays abroad this year, but am currently in England during the rainy season due to awaiting hospital arrangements.

@Marcyaz I would have taken one or two more holidays, but the timing was disrupted by the hospitals. Hopefully I can make up for this by having a decent amount of holidays in 2016.

Any year that ends and I'm still breathing is a good year. We have had a ton of fun and laughed a lot, nothing is better than that.

2015 was my husbands first full year of retirement and I couldn't be happier for him. He took good care of me and our sons and he so deserves to be retired. For sometime he just couldn't get that he was finally retired and he is so enjoying it. It was a great year.

Sounds like you have had a interesting year. Mine has been about the same. Maybe a little better than 2014. My grandson and daughter are on good meds which means all the difference in life going well or not. There have been some set backs but we take it a day at a time. Happy New Year to you.

It was some good and some bad as every other year. Bad: my dad passed away, etc. Good: both my daughters have new jobs, etc.

I got an Awesome opportunity to work in Canada and inherit my Uncle's business. I am sad that there are no flying cars and hoverboards though. Where is Jaws 19?

Did you take the opportunity to go to Canada and take over your Uncle's business. No flying cars or hoverboards yet but give it some time and there will be.

It's been a rough year for me, or at least there were several unpleasant events I could have done without. Hopefully Murphy is on an island that he can't escape from.

@rebelann I know exactly what you are saying as I have a cat that is very old and has slowed down considerably so I know he won't be around much longer. The others are still young so it will be awhile for them, hopefully.

It sounds like a good year for you. 2015 was a hard year for me. I spent two weeks in the hospital, a week in July and a week in September followed by a month in the nursing home for rehab of my broken leg. I've seen three family members and one other who is part of the family also pass - my ex, my cousin, my ex sister-in-law, and my mother, in that order - so four deaths since July. And then there's Pip's diagnosis. I'm not looking forward to the day I put her down. I will be glad to put this year behind me. I hope you have a wonderful 2016 and your son finds the house he's looking for.

The housing market is still good for buyers, and I am sure he can find one that he likes. It is a matter of downpayment, and the renovation that comes with buying a house.

No...I started the year with Bubblews taking away almost 500 USD from me. That sort of set the trend for the entire year. I am hoping the jinxed year is behind me.

Good to read life is going along just fine. As long as we are able to accept its challenges, that none are exceptions to, we should have no complaints. Issues that threatened to derail me are water under the bridge now or rather I accepted them as part and parcel of my life before I sign off for good! siva
