I'm starting to remember a few posts I lost in the B B. Three or four were written about what I could see from my large window overlooking the back of the Vietnamese huge grocery store. I would watch the workers come to work and again leave. I would see more different kinds of birds from the sea gulls who swarm in to get the thrown out fish from the grocery store to some elegant blue herons who stopped on their way to some water way. I see crows, black birds, blue birds, a racous blue jay, and a nutty wood pecker who once attacked my window screen like it was a tree and pecked holes in the screen,
I live in Garden Grove California and also in Little Saigon a 24 square block of V ietnamese businesses and shops along with California shops. These were the Vietnamese boat people who fled here years back from the war with nothing but the clothes on their backs. T hey made a whole little city here within Garden Grove with their hard work and their business savvy .
They are hard working, polite, courteous peace loving people and you seldom see a cop car on our street here on Dawson street. They seem to especially
honor their elders. Im often called "hello good morning Mama" and I learned this is a special greeting for elderly Caucasian ladies they meet meant as an honor.
The store is really quite a place with food stuff from all over the world and I got one of their cheese trays. Oh my the great variety of cheeses and all were so good too; Some foods have English names some do not so it takes some moxie to shop there but its a real learning experience.
