I don't know how people can handle it, and not snap. I work with a couple coworkers who are moody I know they are young and probably hormonal but some are middle age. Now if you can't handle your hormones by now even into your mid 20's possible a visit to the doctors. They tend to snap, and be rather rude. One younger girl tried sweeping the floor and this girl ripped her head off. I was at work working cash, while this girl came in after she was out to take picture (as a promotion we currently have). She was rather disrespectful and rude to me. I just turned around and walked off. I was not putting up with that. Noone has said anything to her either, I thought if you can't be nice, and control your moodiness. I really think deep down she hates her life, and just this way because of being unhappy. How would you deal with coworkers like this?

Having a moody coworker is really uncomfortable situation, you should be patient with his/her attitude which is sometime break the atmosphere your workplace even your spirit to work. If you have energy and time, try to talking with her/him and asking about her/his feeling. Maybe, at initial they will reject, but if they know that you caring them, they will know you are. Yes, it is not easy job. As long as you do not disturbed, it is okay, you let them.

I try to do that but some days I just want to scream. I was always told to leave your personal issues at home not bring them to work. But most of them I work with are younger.

I used to just walk away and ignore them.

That is what I have been doing. But some days I just want to scream. I don't know why or how they could act like that.
